RESIDENTIAL BUILDING HELSINKI ATRIUM GARDEN
The apartment building is the fist part of a plan that won an invitational architectural competition of Jätkäsaari atrium block. The starting point for the destination was a single stairwell with the light coming from above and the typography consisting of the apartments surrounding it. The building has been designed to look like a sturdy inner city apartment building, encompassing timeless materials for its facades; brick, glass, wood and zinc.
Our office plans residential buildings from apartment buildings to summer cottages. In each case the starting point is always based on the needs of the client and the character of the location, in which case the buildings become characteristically appropriate for the location and architectonically original.
